We envision a world-class youth development center built on purpose-acquired land—featuring state-of-the-art football pitches, a fully accredited high school, a modern library, and safe, supportive boarding facilities for both boys and girls. Our academy will serve as a beacon of hope and opportunity, offering an integrated environment where students can pursue academic excellence and athletic distinction. Through partnerships and sponsorships, we aim to provide scholarships for our most promising talents to study and continue their football journeys in the United States and beyond. By nurturing both mind and body, Lakpazee Youth Football Academy Inc. is committed to transforming lives, uplifting communities, and building a legacy of champions—on and off the pitch.

Lakpazee Youth Football Academy Inc - was born from the lived experience of its founder, who grew up during the Liberian Civil War. As a young child, he endured years of displacement, hunger, and fear. There were many days when his family survived only on hot Lipton tea, and education was interrupted whenever conflict reached the refugee camps. He witnessed unimaginable hardship and a level of suffering that still affects thousands of children in Liberia today.

At fourteen, he moved to the Lakpazee community, a place that became the foundation of his identity. Lakpazee is where he learned resilience, responsibility, and the strength to build a future beyond survival. Despite limited resources, no childhood comforts, and a life centered around struggle, the community played a crucial role in shaping the man he would become.

In 2009, he immigrated to the United States, carrying with him a promise: that one day he would return the kindness and strength that Lakpazee gave him. In 2015, he began helping children in the community on his own—providing basic needs, mentorship, and support. What started as a personal mission grew into a community movement, and in June 2025, Lakpazee Youth Football Academy inc became an officially recognized nonprofit organization in North Carolina.

Today, the foundation works to address the challenges faced by children in post‑war Liberia: poverty, homelessness, hunger, and limited access to education. Many children were born during the war or lost their parents to conflict, and they continue to suffer the long‑term effects of a country rebuilding itself.

Our founder’s journey—from wartime survival to rebuilding his life in the U.S.—is the heart of our mission. We serve because he knows exactly what it feels like to have nothing. We give hope because he once lived without it. And we continue this work because every child in Lakpazee deserves the chance to rise above their circumstances and build a brighter future.
